Xu Yan Yu is a Chinese actress and singer who was born in 1993 in Zhejiang Province, China. She joined the pop group SNH48 in August 2013 and in 2017 debuted as an actress in the drama “Where the Lost Ones Go” (2017). More recently, she appeared in the drama “Stealth Walker” (2021) and the movie “Legend of the Mermaid 2” (2021).

In this enchanting tale, mermaid Xi Yin (Vera Qiu) once saved imperial guard Yan Lie (Liang Ting Wei), sparking a deep love that ended tragically when she disappeared beneath the waters. Years later, imperial concubine Shen Mei (Sun Zi Jun) schemes to obtain a magical treasure, manipulating Yan Lie's connection to the enchanted island where he and Xi Yin once shared a bond. Upon reuniting, Xi Yin appears to have no memory of their past, setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation.
