Synopsis
When army commander Jiang Ziya is offered a heavenly position as the leader of all the gods, in exchange for executing the deadly Fox Demon, he sets out immediately. However, he discovers that the Fox Demon, Nine-Tailed, is attached to the soul of an innocent young girl. Unable to carry out his divine command, Jiang Ziya spares the girl and the demon, leading to his banishment to the mortal realm. There, he meets a young girl by the name of Jiu. Realizing she’s the girl whose soul he saved, he takes it upon himself to help her find her missing father; a quest which brings him face-to-face with the Fox Demon once more. Picking up where the 2019 animated film “Ne Zha” left off, this 2020 Chinese animated fantasy adventure sequel film was directed by Cheng Teng and Li Wei.
