Start-Up

While helping her friend out at a technology showcase, aspiring business owner Pafun (Belle Kemisara Paladesh) runs into her estranged sister Alice (Goy Arachaporn Pokinpakorn), now a successful young entrepreneur. Alice invites Pafun to her birthday party, and Pafun says she'll bring her boyfriend Korn. However, Pafun's never met Korn before, and to make matters worse, he isn't even real – he was concocted by Pafun's grandmother and venture capitalist Jiraphat (Great Sapol Assawamunkong) to comfort her during her parents' divorce fifteen years ago, based off of a newspaper article about a young genius. To cover up his ruse, Jiraphat manages to find the real Korn (Up Poompat Iam-samang), the founder and CEO of a struggling AI startup, and persuades him to pose as Pafun's penpal. When Pafun, Alice, Korn, and Jiraphat all end up working at the same tech incubator, will they manage to achieve their career dreams, or will their pasts prove to be too much to overcome? This 2024 Thai drama was directed by Itt Cheewatan Pusitsuksa, adapted from the 2020 Korean drama of the same name.
