The Midnight Studio

Former public prosecutor Han Bom (Kwon Nara) has fallen on hard times, as her zeal for justice eventually caused her to lose her job. Now an independent lawyer, she has fallen behind with her rent and can’t find clients who will pay her. But her luck changes after a chance encounter with Seo Ki Joo (Joo Won), a short-tempered and very unusual photographer. Ki Joo comes from a family afflicted by a strange curse: he must spend his days taking pictures of ghosts, capturing their images before they depart for the afterlife… but many of his clients are disgruntled. Bom senses an opportunity: instead of wasting her time on the living, she should turn her attention to solving the grievances of the dead (or undead!) Can she team up with Ki Joo to form a partnership that brings peace to these restless spirits – and helps break Ki Joo’s family curse? This 2024 South Korean drama was directed by Song Hyun Wook.
