Synopsis
University student Chun Yu (Sun Qian)'s life is thrown into a tailspin when she awakens after a school bus crash, only to find herself trapped in a ghostly building with her schoolmates. She soon learns that she has been dragged into the macabre world of a horror-themed VR game, set in a “haunted” building where every floor is a tangle of danger and terrifying secrets. Failing to complete a level leaves players comatose in the real world, compelling them to fight for their lives. Forced to play along, she meets fellow player Gao Xuan (Wei Zhe Ming). Together, the duo and their schoolmates navigate the perils of the building, slowly heading toward the final, fearsome 19th floor. Based on the novel “The Nineteenth Floor of Hell” by Cai Jun, this 2024 Chinese drama was directed by Cai Cong and Li Zhi Heng.
