Synopsis
Chu Yi Ping (Ping Chen Wu) has never been known for his overt displays of emotion, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any. After an injury at school leaves him with a dislocated hand, Yi Ping has plenty of emotions raging, but none as strong as the wonder he feels when his uncle presents him with a most astounding caretaker.
An experimental artificially intelligent android, Ever 9 (Huang Li Feng) has been secretly developed by his uncle’s company and is now ready for testing. Seeing Yi Ping’s injury as the perfect chance to test Ever 9’s capabilities as a caretaker, he hands the android over to his nephew. Though reluctant to accept Ever 9 at first, Yi Ping eventually warms to his new companion, even going so far as to ask the android to make a list of wishes when they begin completing together.
Unfortunately, before they can complete Ever 9’s list, the android malfunctions. Taken in for repairs, Ever 9 undergoes a total system reset. While his uncle insists Ever 9 is better than ever, Yi Ping can’t seem to connect with his friend as he once did. With a heart that has only recently opened to the idea of love, can Yi Ping endure the heartbreak he now feels over his AI companion?
