Synopsis
In the Heaven Span River region, the Spirit Stream Sect is one of four immortal groups. Bai Xiao Chun (voiced by), an orphan with a deep fear of death, dreams of becoming immortal. Despite failing Li Qing Hao's (voiced by) initial challenge, the master accepts him as a disciple, recognizing his empathy for the villagers who raised him. Bai Xiao Chun struggles with cultivation, preferring to avoid conflict through flattery and begging rather than fighting. His journey to immortality will require mastering herbs, healing, and magic, with an inner drive constantly pushing him toward his ultimate goal. Based on the hit novel by Er Gen, this is a 2020-2021 Chinese animated series that explores the unlikely path of a cowardly protagonist seeking eternal life.
