Ye Jin Woo (Lee Dong Wook) works as a doctor in the Sangkook University Hospital’s emergency care department. He is well-liked and is known for his caring ways. He enjoys working at the hospital. But his world is shaken to the core on the day he hears that the hospital’s Director moved public funds intended for healthcare into his own bank account. Shortly after, the Director dies in mysterious circumstances, apparently suffering from a cardiac arrest and falling from his death – from the roof of the Vice-director’s apartment block! The Director is replaced by the aloof and ambitious Koo Seung Hyo (Cho Seung Woo). Koo Seung Hyo appears to be completely motivated by ensuring the hospital becomes as profitable as possible. He plans to transfer the emergency care department, along with other loss-making wings, to another healthcare facility. But the plan proves deeply unpopular, causing problems for doctors, including junior pediatrician Lee No Eul (Won Jin Ah). And things start to get even worse for him when the issue of cover-ups concerning patients’ deaths starts to become pressing.
