Baby Vampire Blues

Living in Tokyo, vampires Sou Kurosawa (Renn Kiriyama) and Aoi Shifuji (Yutaro Goto) have found a rather ingenious way to make a living for themselves. By running Yoro no Kodomotachi, a coffee shop that is only open at night, the two have done quite well for themselves.  Despite their success, Sou and Aoi find their business coming to a screeching halt after the city experiences an outbreak of the coronavirus. With their shop all but shut down, the pair of young vampires find themselves in a rather difficult position as their food supply begins to run dry. With the virus wreaking havoc all over the world, the Vampire Association’s headquarters in Romania has been unable to make their regular deliveries, leaving the two blue bloods with very few resources at their disposal.  Having never drawn the blood of a human on their own, Sou and Aoi are soon forced to make a difficult decision. Do they wait for the Vampire Association to deliver them their much-needed blood supply or do they take matters into their own hands and find a way to taste human blood for the very first time?  A delightful tale of fangs and follies, “Baby Vampire Blues” is a 2021 Japanese supernatural comedy drama series directed by Iguchi Noboru.
