Luo Qing Lian (He Hong Shan) is an ordinary woman seeking a peaceful life and true love, but her striking resemblance to a deceased royal concubine thrusts her into the royal court. There, she becomes the maid and concubine to the aloof and seemingly heartless He Lian Xin (Peter Ho), the King’s third son. Determined to escape, Qing Lian initially sees Lian Xin as cold and indifferent. However, as she learns about his desire to improve the lives of his people, her perception begins to shift. Through shared challenges, she discovers his tender side. As their bond deepens, Qing Lian must decide if she is ready to embrace her strange fate and growing feelings for her “husband” while helping him bring peace to the realm.
