After recovering the Four-Leafed Lotus, a powerful treasure, from a demon thief, the Sovereign Lord protector of the heavenly realm Ying Yuan (Cheng Yi) was shocked as Lotus transformed into two sisters: Yan Dan (Yang Zi) and Zhi Xi (Zoey Meng). Yan Dan fell for Ying Yuan, but fate kept them apart. Now, hundreds of years later, they reunite in the mortal realm, where Ying Yuan, now named Tang Zhou, is a demon hunter on the hunt for powerful ancient artifacts. He runs into Yan Dan, accompanied by her close male friend Yu Mo (Zhang Rui), and the trio joins forces to continue the quest.
