Synopsis
In 2017, a series of gory, macabre discoveries has shocked coastal communities in China: Fishing crews in mudflats find a mysterious bag floating in the seas, and discover that it contains a human hand. Other body part finds also cause shock. A police investigation shows that the victim is a 31-year-old woman and a suspect, who confesses to a part of the crime, is taken into custody. But all is not quite as it seems and two of the prosecution’s sharpest minds – Lin Lan (Gai Yue Xi) and Lin Yuan Hao (Chen Xing Xu) – are dispatched to the case. They’ve never met before, but both possess outstanding powers of deduction and forensic skills. The case is nothing if not tricky, and even involves some personal life crossovers, but they eventually start getting close to solving it.
A powerful team has been formed, and the duo now works together, hoping to get to the bottom of other cases, many of which have left the police force perplexed. At their fingertips is a dazzling array of high-tech forensic tools that will help them on their shared quest. But despite their dedication to the cause, things start to get complicated between these young investigators. Do they have what it takes to overcome the obstacles in their way – and solve a series of ever-more confounding crimes?
