Lee Ji Ah is a South Korean actress and screenwriter. Born as Kim Sang Eun on February 2, 1978, she is reported to have moved to the United States with her family when she was in sixth grade and lived there for 10 years. During a visit to Korea in 2004, she appeared in a TV commercial for LG Telecom with actor Bae Yong Joon. She then moved back to Korea in 2005, changing her name to Kim Ji Ah before adopting the stage name Lee Ji Ah. She shot to stardom after being cast in the leading role of the 2007 television series “The Legend,” which also starred Bae Yong Joon. Lee Ji Ah has since starred in many popular films and television dramas, including “Beethoven Virus” (2008), “Style” (2009), “Athena: Goddess of War” (2010), “Me Too, Flower!” (2011) and “The Woman Who Married Three Times” (2014).
