Legend of the Phoenix

Ye Ningzhi (He Hong Shan), a circus performer in the Eastern Liang Dynasty, becomes entangled in palace intrigue when her troupe is invited to the Empress Dowager's birthday party. Framed for treason by the Crown Princess (Liu Min), she is saved by court advisor Wei Guang (Jeremy Tsui). Two years later, Ningzhi returns to the palace as a handmaiden, where she courageously stands up against corruption, catching the attention of the Empress (Cao Xi Wen) and Emperor (Wayne Lai). Reunited with Wei Guang, she discovers their connection runs deeper than their initial encounter. Together, they must thwart the Crown Princess' plot to seize the throne, navigating the dangerous political landscape of the imperial court.
