Court Lady

Sheng Chu Mu (Xu Kai), the privileged son of a Tang Empire founding pillar, transforms from an idle youth after meeting Fu Rou (Li Yi Tong), a local merchant's daughter. Inspired by her, Chu Mu dedicates himself to personal growth and studies, hoping to become worthy of her love. While Chu Mu volunteers to defend the coast against pirates, Fu Rou leaves her family to become a master weaver in the royal palace, where she becomes entangled in dangerous political schemes. Their individual journeys are fraught with challenges that test their skills and resolve, forcing them to navigate complex obstacles that threaten both their personal relationship and their country's safety. Will their destined love survive the trials that lie ahead? Based on an original screenplay by web-novelist Feng Nong, "Court Lady" is a 2021 South Korean historical adventure romance drama directed by Yu Zheng and Li Hui Zhu.
