Under the Power

Lu Yi (Allen Ren), a Jing Yi Wei investigator, is commissioned by the Ming Dynasty's Jiajing Emperor to probe the disappearance of government funds meant for Yangzhou river repairs. Joining him is Yuan Jin Xia (Tan Song Yun), a talented but hot-tempered constable with whom he shares a contentious history. Despite their initial friction, they form an effective investigative team, gradually developing a deep connection as they unravel the mystery.
