Degree of Love

When do you know when a relationship is right? When the love develops in an unexpected way or when it comes after you demanding attention?   Lee Hyeon Su (Seo Hyun Jin) has been toiling away as an assistant writer for 10 years and aspires to be a successful screenwriter in her own right. Using the online handle “Jane,” Hyeon Su befriends Oh Jeong Seon (Yang Se Jong), who goes by the username “Kind Soup” and is a French chef. When the two happen to meet in person, they fall for each other. But Hyeon Su prefers to focus on her career instead.    Their relationship is complicated by Park Jeong Wu (Kim Jae Wook), Jeong Seon’s business partner, who develops an interest in Hyeon Su and won’t take no for an answer. Hyeon Su’s friend, fellow screenwriter Ji Jong Ah (Jo Bo Ah), falls for Jeong Seon and is used to getting what she wants in life. Can Hyeon Su and Jeong Seon make their relationship work or will they choose their careers over their personal happiness?   “Degree of Love” is a 2017 South Korean drama series directed by Nam Gun. It is based on the novel Kind Soup Never Picks Up the Phone by Ha Myeong Hi.
