Tootsies & The Fake

After becoming viral Thai TV sensations, male cross-dressing "tootsies" Gus (Petch Paopetch Charoensook), Golf (Pingpong Thongchai Thongkuntom), Kim (Ter Ratthanant Janyajirawong) and their female friend Natty (Peak Pattarasaya Kruasuwansiri) are headed to the big screen, prepared to "fake it until they make it." Unfortunately, Golf accidentally knocks celebrity superstar Cathy (Araya A. Hargate) unconscious a week before she shoots a lucrative TV commercial. Faced with a hefty fine if Cathy is a no-show, they seek out a lookalike to replace her – and seem to find one in street food hawker Nam (also played by Araya A. Hargate), whose extensive plastic surgery makes her a near-perfect match. However, the similarities end at physical appearances, as Nam's brash personality is completely opposite from Cathy's sweet, polite demeanor. Can Gus, Golf, Kim, and Natty pull all their powers together to turn Nam into a star? This 2019 Thai LGBTQ+ comedy film was directed by Title Kittiphak Thongauam and follows the characters from 2016's "Diary of Tootsies."
