Synopsis
When the Burmese army sought to invade Ayutthaya in 1767, the people of Bang Rajan rallied against them. Though they were vastly outmanned and outgunned, the people of Bag Rajan fought valiantly, staving off the massive Burmese army for months.
Despite the best and often desperate attempts to keep the Burmese army from advancing, the warrior villagers of Bang Rajan were ultimately defeated. But their defeat in battle did nothing to quell their warrior spirit. Inspired by their fallen, Phraya Lheak (Chatchai Plengpanich), Mun (Paradorn Srichapan), Mhuen Sena (Verayuth Nancha), and the surviving villagers banded together, forming a small group of guerilla fighters.
Following the Burmese troops on their long march to Ayutthaya, the group of Bang Rajan warriors plan to ambush their enemies. Will this group of self-dubbed paladins have the strength to take down their foes or will they ultimately meet the same fate as their fallen comrades?
Inspired by historical events, “Bang Rajan 2” is a 2010 Thai historical action war film directed by Tanit Jitnukul.
