Little Brother

Nine year old Han I (Park Ji Bin) is the family troublemaker, living life without a care in the world. One morning, he tries to play a prank on his older brother Han Byul (Seo Dae Han) by turning off his alarm clock, but gets caught by their mother. Han I lies that Han Byul didn't get up because he was sick – but in a horrible twist of fate, Han Byul is ill enough to be rushed to the hospital where he's diagnosed with cancer. Unable to truly comprehend the gravity of the situation, Han I continues to act out, but eventually has a change of heart after meeting Wook (Choi Woo Hyuk), a long-term pediatric leukemia patient. Based on the true story of screenwriter Kim Eun Jung's nephews, this 2005 Korean film was directed by Lim Tai Hyung.
