Once in a Summer

When Professor Yoon Suk Young's (Lee Byung Hun) former student asks him to appear as a guest on a TV show that reunites famous individuals with people from their past, he agrees, hoping to track down a woman named Seo Jung In (Soo Ae). They met in 1969, when South Korea was mired in political turmoil. Suk Young was a college student, and Jung In was a librarian in a rural village. The duo met when Suk Young and his classmates traveled from the big city to the countryside on a mission to help modernize the village, and they ended up falling in love. However, their relationship was cruelly derailed by dark family secrets and a tidal wave of political change. Will Suk Young and Jung In finally meet again, or will Suk Young's quest for reunion end in failure? This movie won several awards, including Best Film, at the Chunsa Film Art Awards.
