Synopsis

For Detective Kang Jae Hyuk (Lee Dong Wook), catching criminals is all in a day’s work. Willing to do whatever it takes to get felons off the streets, Jae Hyuk has often found himself in precarious situations. As such, chasing a pickpocket through the streets wasn’t a big deal. At least not until he managed to run, quite literally, into Choi Soo Jin (Hyun Young). Simply enjoying a well-deserved treat, journalist Choi Soo Jin had no intention of impaling anyone with her tempura skewer; but that’s exactly what happened when she accidentally bumped into Jae Hyuk, mid-chase. Mortified, Soo Jin does everything she can to make things right and is relieved when the whole incident is quickly resolved. But her relief is short-lived when she realizes her new work assignment, as the police’s media representative, puts her squarely in Jae Hyuk’s path.  Unable to avoid each other, the two spend most of their time bickering, but when presented with an opportunity to advance both of their careers, the two agree to put their differences aside. Working as allies, Jae Hyuk and Soo Jin make a formidable duo but do they have what it takes to bring down one of the country’s biggest crime lords? Proof that love can bloom under some of the strangest circumstances, “The Perfect Couple” is a 2007 South Korean romantic comedy film directed by Kim Jung Woo.
