Synopsis

As conjoined twins, Sang Hyun (Cho Seung Woo) and Dong Hyun (Ryu Deok Hwan) have spent literally every moment of their lives together. Forced to live as two people sharing a single body, the brothers have never had a chance to live their own lives. Having spent nearly thirty years living in a remote house with their father, the two brothers have only been allowed to experience life within the confines of their property. Even so, living such a confined life hasn’t stopped either of them from dreaming. Recognizing Dong Hyun’s dream to become a published children’s book author, their father invites Park Seung Ah (Nam Sang Mi), a tender-hearted young artist to the house with the hopes that her work will help Dong Hyun realize his dreams. As Dong Hyun and Seung Ah work, Sang Hyun has no choice but to remain silent in the background. Often hidden under his brother’s hoodie, Seung Ah has plenty of time to start contemplating his own wants and needs which, up to this point, was something he never thought much about. Meanwhile, Dong Hyun’s own desires, including his most desperate desire to appear “normal” grows, so too grows his resentment towards his brother.  With both brothers desperately reaching for things that will forever remain outside their grasp, their relationship is put to the ultimate test. Will they find a way to make peace with their fate or will their desperate desire for change force them over the edge? A story of life, love, and loss, “Peach Tree” is a 2012 South Korean film directed by Ku Hye Sun.
