Synopsis
Yuni (Nana Komatsu) is a high school student who lives with her relative Kazuma Akechi (Arai Hirofumi), who is also the school’s math teacher.
She is an exceptional student, but has been struggling with English, so starts taking additional lessons on a one-to-one basis with the school’s English teacher Haruka Sakurai (Tomohisa Yamashita).
But during their lessons, a romantic bond slowly starts to form between the two. Kazuma Akechi starts to sense something is amiss, so puts an end to the tutoring. However, it may be too late, as the duo’s love has already started to blossom.
And things get even more complicated when Yuni is assigned a new homeroom teacher, Mirei Takizawa (Asami Mizukawa) – a woman who also has feelings for the dashing English teacher.
When Mirei Takizawa learns about Yuni and Haruka Sakurai’s love, she resolves to put an end to it...
This movie was based on a hit, 10-volume manga series named “Love’s Reach,” by Rin Mikimoto, which ran from 2008 to 2011. It also spawned a TV drama series in 2014.
“Close Range Love” is a 2014 Japanese movie that was directed by Naoto Kumazawa.
