Once a big-shot in the world of promotional modeling, Phoenix (Jacqueline Chong) lived her life like she was on top of the world. With a successful career and an even more successful love life, she was convinced the time had come to retire from work and settle down with the love of her life. But her lifetime of happiness wouldn’t last. Abandoned by her boyfriend, Phoenix gave up, not just on love, but on life as well. Letting herself go in every way, she eventually finds herself in prison, but she doesn’t care. Only after meeting Happy (Bob Lam) does she find the will to pick herself up and try again.
While Phoenix tries to make a professional comeback, hostesses Sugar (Jumbo Tsang) and Candy (Anita Chui) have different ideas about their profession. Using their talents in less than honorable ways, the two aren’t afraid to steal from their clients, whenever the opportunity arises. When the stock trader Vincent (Alan Luk) becomes a regular client of theirs, they both set their sights on him, dreaming of the life he could provide them. Little do they know, Vincent isn’t the knight in shining armor they believe him to be.
As the girls struggle to capture their newest client’s attention, college student and product promoter, Ching (Angie Shum), finds herself facing an entirely different set of challenges. Working hard to pay for a European vacation with her boyfriend, Ching isn’t ashamed of her job but when her boyfriend Wai (Edward Ma) finds out how she’s been making her money, he’s tempted to call both the trip and their relationship off. Will these women be able to overcome the struggles they face, working as promotion girls?
