Synopsis
When In Soo (Bae Yong Joon) gets a call, informing him that his wife, Su Jin (Lim Sang Hyo), has been injured in a car accident, he rushes to the hospital to find her lying in a room, severely injured and unconscious. Unwilling to leave her side, In Soo spends his days at the hospital, dutifully trying to nurse his unresponsive wife back to health. Meanwhile, Seo Young (Son Ye Jin) finds herself in the exact same situation, spending her days at the hospital caring for her injured and unconscious husband, Kyung Ho (Ryu Seung Soo).
Spending long days and countless sleepless nights at the hospital, it’s only a matter of time before In Soo and Seo Young meet. Realizing they have far too much in common, it doesn't take long for them to learn their spouses were involved in the exact same accident. Soon after, they learn that Su Jin and Kyung Ho were traveling together at the time of the accident, a fact that eventually leads to a very painful revelation: their spouses were having an affair.
Now aware of their spouses’ betrayal, In Soo and Seo Young find a kindred spirit in each other as they attempt to process their feelings of grief, anger, betrayal, and fear. Coming to depend on each other through this difficult time, In Soo and Seo Young find healing and a new love between them begins to bloom. But the sweetness of new love is cut short when Su Jin regains consciousness, forcing In Soo to make an impossible decision.
