A fish out of water gets noticed. Jung Han Kyung (Lee Chung Ah) grew up in the countryside with her father, but his death forces her to move to Seoul to live with her mother. As she tries to acclimate to city life, she catches the attention of Ban Hae Won (Jo Han Sun) and Jung Tae Sung (Kang Dong Won), the two most popular boys in her new high school. Both boys are drawn to Han Kyung and begin to compete with each other for her affection.

But what could be Tae Sung’s secret that draws him to Han Kyung but forces him to leave her in the end?

When a North Korean spy fails to complete his mission in South Korea, his children, Myung Hoon (T.O.P) and Hye In (Kim Yoo Jung), are sent to a North Korean labor prison camp. High-ranking military official Colonel Moon Sang Chul (Jo Sung Ha) strikes a deal with 19-year-old Myung Hoon that he can’t refuse: infiltrate South Korea as a defector and kill a North Korean spy known as the Big Dipper (Jung Ho Bin) if he wants to save his sister’s life.

When Myung Hoon arrives in South Korea as a teenage defector, he is taken in by a South Korean couple who are actually North Korean spies. He enrolls in high school and befriends Lee Hye In (Han Ye Ri), who has the same name as his younger sister, after he rescues her from bullies.

As Myung Hoon tries to carry out his mission, political unrest in the North Korean government results in Myung Hoon suddenly becoming a liability to Colonel Moon. When an assassin is sent to kill Myung Hoon, can he survive and save his sister back home?

“Commitment” is a 2013 South Korean film co-written and directed by Park Hong Soo.

A former Army Intelligence spy is forced to give up his quiet existence to save the life of a little girl.

Cha Tae Sik (Won Bin) owns a run-down pawn shop in a sketchy neighborhood. Known as “ajusshi” to everyone in the neighborhood, Tae Sik mostly keeps to himself and only befriends a young girl named So Mi (Kim Sae Ron), who comes to hang out at his shop when her drug-addicted mom, Hyo Jung (Kim Hyo Seo), is entertaining men.

When Hyo Jung steals heroine from a dangerous crime organization, crime lord Oh Myung Gyu (Song Young Chang) sends his subordinates, brothers Man Seok (Kim Hee Won) and Jong Seok (Kim Sung Oh) and their henchman Lum Ramrowa (Thanayong Wongtrakul), after Hyo Jung. When the gangsters come to Tae Sik’s pawn shop looking for Hyo Jong, Jong Seok and his men end up taking Hyo Jung and So Mi captive.

The gangsters soon learn that they messed with the wrong guy, as it turns out that Tae Sik is a former covert operative for the South Korean Army Intelligence. Tae Sik goes after the dangerous gangsters to try to save So Mi’s life, but can he get to her in time?

“The Man From Nowhere” is a 2010 South Korean film written and directed by Lee Jeong Beom. It was the highest-grossing film of 2010.

Lena (Park Gi Rim) is a Russian woman of Korean descent. Escaping a life of pain in Russia, she agrees to come to Korea as the bride of Soon Goo (Kim Jae Man), a farmer who lives in the rural countryside. Dealing with his own painful memories, Soon Goo is happy to just spend time with Lena as they go about their simple lives on the farm.

But as Lena’s feelings for Soon Goo deepens, she finds it harder for her to stay. Will Lena decide that leaving is the only way to deal with her feelings of guilt?

Can a group of Korean resistance fighters carry out an assassination before enemy forces hunt them down?

Yeom Sek Jin (Lee Jung Jae) is a Korean resistance fighter during the 1930s Japanese occupation of Korea. He plans out the assassination of a Japanese commander and hires Ahn Ok Yoon (Jun Ji Hyun), a skilled sniper. Ok Yoon takes on the mission, along with her comrades Soksapo (Jo Jin Woong) and Hwang Duk Sam (Choi Duk Moon), to fight for Korean independence.

The Japanese send government sends contract killers Hawaii Pistol (Ha Jung Woo) and his partner Buddy (Oh Dal Soo) after Ok Yoon and her men. But can Ok Yoon carry out her mission when there is a traitor among them?

“Assassination” is a 2015 South Korean film co-written and directed by Choi Dong Hoon.

The year is 1950, and much of South Korea has fallen to invading armies from the North.

Southern forces, in conjunction with the American military, are planning an audacious bid to recapture the port of Incheon from the sea.

However, the allied generals believe that if they are to be successful in Incheon, they will need a diversion – to draw North Korean forces away from the heavily defended port.

The allied military hatches a plan. They will send a group of 772 raw, young recruits, including lowly private Choi Sung Pil (Choi Minho) and led by inexperienced commander Lee Myung Joon (Kim Myung Min), to Jansari, a beach in North Gyeongsang Province. The operation is top secret, and generals privately do not expect the soldiers to return alive.

As soon as the mission begins, the green forces soon realize they are hopelessly unequipped, with barely enough weapons and ammunition to defend themselves – or enough food and equipment to survive.

American news reporter Maggie Higgins (Megan Fox) learns of the plan, and attempts to gain help from the international community – but is it already too late for the young soldiers?

“The Battle of Jangsari” is a 2019 South Korean war movie, which was based partly on a true story. It was directed by Kwak Kyung Taek and Kim Tae Hoon.

So Jung (Kim So Eun) has had a pretty miserable life so far. Beset by ill fortune, her mother is ill, and it seems that whatever she turns her hand to ends up in failure.

She works in a coffee shop run by the dashing – but skeptical and secretive – Seung Jae (Sung Hoon).

But one stormy night, a mysterious woman visits the shop and lends So Jung a strange book named “Are You in Love.” It turns out to be a remarkable – and even magical – tome!

One day, she asks the book a question about her love life – and receives an “answer” that miraculously changes her life.

All of a sudden, So Jung finds herself the talk of the town. Every man she meets ends up having a crush on her – including Seung Jae, who suddenly sheds his cool exterior to lay his heart bare for her.

Can So Jung use the power of the book to find true love? And could the reformed Seung Jae win her heart – despite all the competition?

“Are You in Love” is a 2020 South Korean romantic movie directed by Kim Jung Kwon.
