“Scarlet Heart 2” is a 2014 Chinese drama series directed by Lee Kwok Lap. It is a sequel to the 2011 drama series “Scarlet Heart,” which was directed by Wu Jin Yuan and based on a novel by Tong Hua.

It is a 2005 television series adaptation of the Taiwanese role-playing game “The Legend of Sword and Fairy.” It was followed in 2009 by the sequel “Chinese Paladin 3,” which takes place 50 years earlier in chronological history. There was no “Chinese Paladin 2.”
