Every couple has secrets, but this couple takes it to a whole new level. Ahn Soo Ji (Kim Ha Neul) is an expert martial artist and fencer. She also is a veteran secret agent with the NIS. But her boyfriend, Lee Jae Joon (Kang Ji Hwan), doesn’t know that and is fed up with her sudden disappearances and preposterous excuses and wants to break up with her.

Unbeknownst to Soo Ji, Jae Joon also works for the NIS as an analyst and rookie field agent. As the couple tries to hide each other’s professions from the other, they are assigned to the same international mission to stop a Russian organized crime group from getting their hands on an advanced bio-chemical weapon in Korea. Can Soo Ji and Jae Joon carry out the important mission without killing each other?

“My Girlfriend Is an Agent” is a 2009 South Korean film directed by Shin Tae Ra. It was remade into the 2013 television drama “7th Grade Civil Servant.”
