After a hostage situation goes terribly wrong, skilled negotiator Ha Chae Yoon (Son Ye Jin) finds herself questioning her desire to remain with the police. However, when arms dealer Min Tae Gu (Hyun Bin) abducts a group that includes a news reporter and Chae Yoon's superior, Chae Yoon is forced to put her personal struggles aside and intervene. However, as the hours go by, Chae Yoon begins to uncover a deeper conspiracy afoot, involving corruption, betrayal, and secret identities. When Tae Gu announces his intent to kill all the hostages – and himself – Chae Yoon must find a way to balance the competing interests of law enforcement, Tae Gu, and the hostages before it's too late.
