After an alarming bus hijacking and bombing, Public Security Bureau officer Su Jian Ming (Lei Jia Yin) begins to investigate the case with fellow officer Li Hui Lin (Zhou Dong Yu), suspecting that there's more to the incident than it appears. However, unbeknownst to him, Jian Ming's adoptive father, Deputy Mayor Zheng Gang (Zhang Guo Li), is deeply enmeshed in a covert alliance with influential businessman Lai Zhi Tian (Yu He Wei), who wields unchecked power across political and business realms. During the 12th Century, the household of a powerful Song Dynasty politician is thrown into chaos when a visiting delegate Jin is found murdered at dawn. The delegate had been carrying an important letter which is now missing. Furious officials begin executing soldiers for failing to protect the delegate. And when their attention turns to a middle-aged corporal named Zhang Da (Shen Teng), it looks like he will be next.

However, Zhang Da is a smooth talker, and somehow manages to convince his would-be executioners that he has what it takes to find the murderer. The politician orders an ambitious young soldier named Sun Jun (Jackson Yee) to assist Zhang Da, just hours before news of the murder becomes widespread. The duo knows that failure to solve the crime will lead to death or dishonor, but can they get to the bottom of this increasingly complex case before time runs out?

After rigorous training in 1930s Russia, four Chinese Communist Party agents are set to embark on a mission of utmost importance. With plans to air-drop into the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo, Zhang Xian Chen (Zhang Yi), Wang Yu (Qin Hai Lu), Chu Liang (Zhu Ya Wen), and Xiao Lan (Liu Hao Cun) set out on a secret mission, code-named “Utrennya.” Tasked with identifying and rescuing a Chinese informer from the brutal Japanese army, the four agents must bring the informer to Harbin. Little did they know, their mission was doomed from the start.&nbsp;

Dropping into a snow-covered Manchukuo forest, the agents are almost immediately separated by forces which seem to have been waiting for their arrival. Desperate to survive, the now separated agents must do their best to find a way to carry out their mission on their own, but both teams are met at every turn by overwhelming opposition and darkest deceptions. With death lurking around every corner, the agents soon realize there’s a traitor in their midst, but who that traitor is remains a mystery.

With friends turning foe, and foes claiming to be friends, no one can be trusted and nowhere is safe. Will these desperate agents be able to carry out their mission or will they be forced to make the ultimate sacrifice for comrades and country?
