Taking a job as a contract employee at a savings bank, I Hwa gradually begins to regain her confidence. However, as her confidence grows, so does her ambition. No longer satisfied with her meager existence, I Hwa decides to take a step in a very dangerous direction as she begins to embezzle money from the bank’s VIP customers.

Quickly sinking into a world in which she can’t escape, I Hwa soon finds her life irreversibly twisted. Will she ever find a way to escape this nightmare she’s created for herself?

Adapted from the novel of the same name by Mitsuyo Kakuta, “Pale Moon” is a 2023 South Korean crime suspense drama directed by Yoo Jong Seon and Jung Won Hee.
