South Korea’s Muju County wants to host the 2002 Winter Olympics, but fears the bid will end in failure if the country does not have a national ski jumping team. The hopeful Coach Bang (Sung Dong Il) intervenes, cobbling together a team reluctantly led by Bob (Ha Jung Woo), a Korean-American alpine skier and adoptee who is looking for his birth mother. The coach also recruits the ex-drug addict Choi Hong Cheol (Kim Dong Wook), restaurant worker Ma Jae Bok (Choi Jae Hwan), and caretaker Kang Chil Gu (Kim Ji Suk). Can this motley crew make its country proud by qualifying for the World Cup – and help secure the Olympic bid? This 2009 South Korean movie was directed by Kim Yong Hwa.
