Zong Jun Tao is a Chinese actor and drama teacher who was born in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China, on January 27, 1985. He graduated from the Music and Drama Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He began performing on stage while still a young child and more recently starred in the dramas “Ripe Town” (2023) and “The Happy Seven in Chang’an” (2024).

Small-town girl Xie Quan Jia (Bu Guan Jin) swaps her rural farm life for a journey to the big city – on a mission to find her father. But rather than finding what she was hoping for, she ends up taking control of the powerful magnate’s estate. This turns out to be something of a poisoned chalice, however. The estate is saddled with debt, with the magnate owing money to the likes of the young nobleman Shangguan Gu Chuan (Ma Tian Yu)...

Her father has fled the city. So, still unsure of what to do about Shangguan Gu Chuan and this mountain of debt, Xie Quan Jia decides to make use of her father’s mansion. She lets Shangguan Gu Chuan stay and also opens up a wing for other visitors to stay in the city. Over time, Xie Quan Jia and a motley crew of mansion residents begin to form a camaraderie. Can they help change the city for the better – and find shared happiness?

During the reign of Emperor Wanli (1572-1620) of the Ming Dynasty, the region of Jiangnan is turned upside down by a gruesome spate of killings. The murderer leaves corpses in strange poses, leaving cryptic notes as “clues” at the scene of the crime each time. To make matters even more mysterious, the victims all appear unconnected with one another – although the killer seems to be the same person in each instance.

The disciple of the first of this serial killer’s victims is a young man named Qu San Geng (Bai Yu Fan). With the help of a small group of associates, he tries to get to the bottom of the murders. But as they start to investigate, incidents that took place a decade ago come to light once more. There are also signs that a mysterious and evil puppet master is pulling the strings in the background. Can Qu San Geng find – and stop – the killer...and solve the mystery?
