AKMU, short for Akdong Musician, is a South Korean pop group that comprises brother-and-sister Lee Chan Hyuk (guitar, backing vocals) and Lee Su Hyun (vocals). The pair shot to fame in 2012, when they appeared on the variety TV show-talent contest “K-pop Star 2.” The group then went on to release the debut studio album “Play” in April 2014. More recently, they appeared in the reality TV shows “Long Live Independence” (2021) and “The Seasons: Long Day, Long Night with AKMU” (2023).
