Honami Sato, also known as Hona Ikoka, is a Japanese musician and actress who was born on August 22, 1989, in Tokyo, Japan. She debuted in 2006 and became the drummer for the band Gesu no Kiwami Otome. She has also played the drums for the band Microcosm. Her acting credits include “Alice in Borderland 2” in 2022 and “Even If You Don’t Do It” (2023).

Construction company employee Michi Yoshino (Nao) is married to a shy and reticent man who loves her, but avoids her whenever she tries to get intimate with him – to the extent that it’s been two years since they last had sex. One evening, feeling particularly neglected and frustrated, she sits outside drinking a can of beer when she bumps into her successful and popular boss Makoto Niina (Takanori Iwata). Like her, Makoto is also feeling neglected by his spouse: his wife is a successful fashion editor who never “has time” for intimacy. But could this heart-to-heart lead them to a dangerous romantic encounter… and the potential end of both their marriages? Despite being a married man, Otomo Kyoichi (Ohkura Tadayoshi) has no qualms about cheating on his wife. In fact, he’s had a number of affairs over the years and is currently keeping a mistress. Sick of her husband’s infidelity, Kyoichi’s wife hires Imagase Wataru (Ryo Narita), a private detective, to catch her cheating husband in the act. Little does she know, Wataru and Kyoichi are old university friends.&nbsp;

Skilled at what he does, it doesn’t take Wataru long to catch up with his old friend. Presenting Kyoichi with an impressive amount of incriminating evidence, Wataru strikes a bargain. He’ll keep Kyoichi’s affair a secret in exchange for a kiss. Reluctantly, Kyoichi agrees to Wataru’s request, leading them to share a kiss that’s anything but innocent. Soon after, Wataru catches Kyoichi in a moment of infidelity once again. Threatening to tell Kyoichi’s wife the truth, Kyoichi bribes his friend with another steamy makeout session.

Fed up with Kyoichi’s cheating, his wife eventually divorces him, leaving Kyoichi free to spend as much time with Wataru as he likes. As the two draw closer, powerful emotions begin to take over but not all of them are positive. Can a chronic cheater and the man who’s had a crush on him for nearly a decade find a way to live happily ever after?&nbsp;

Adapted from the manga of the same name by Setona Mizushiro, “The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese” is a 2020 Japanese romance film directed by Yukisada Isao.
