Kang Jun Kyu

Ha Yeon Wu (Han Jung Wan) was once the toast of Chungmuro – Seoul, South Korea’s answer to Hollywood. As a maverick movie director, his debut film was a hit for both filmgoers and critics. But after this auspicious start, he fell into a slump. He is now listless and unsure if he is really cut out to be a top movie director after all. One day, he is reunited with Seong Wu Jae (Kang Jun Kyu), a famous fiction writer who he once knew – but has not spoken to since an acrimonious misunderstanding. Wu Jae also has demons, however. His first love ended in sadness, and he took solace in his writing, eventually going on to become a prolific author. Their meeting sparks a stormy romance fuelled by their past mishap. Will this relationship heal Wu Jae’s wounds – and lift Yeon Wu out of his slump? “Individual Circumstances” is a 2023 South Korean drama series that was directed by director Kim Jin Yeol.
