Alex Chen, also known as Ying Dai Zhen, is a Chinese actor. He was born on August 6, 1989, in Zhejiang Province, China, and made his acting debut in 2014. Since then, he has appeared in a handful of films and television dramas, including the fantasy romance film, “The Mermaid” (2021).

Yang Fan (Alex Chen), a dedicated marine biologist, discovers something extraordinary during a research expedition - a mermaid. After nearly drowning, he is saved by Xiao Yu (Lin Yan Rou), a mermaid disguised as a human who initially resists his advances.
