Leo Ding is an actor and TV personality who was born in Hunan Province, China, on September 28, 1985. He graduated from the Acting Department at Sichuan Normal University and began hosting news shows in 2004, before eventually turning his hand to acting in 2010. He starred in the drama series “The Legend of Crazy Monk Season 2” in 2011 and more recently appeared in the film “Journey to the West - A Duel on the Faith” (2021).

Sun Wu Kong (Leo Ding), the legendary Monkey King, discovers the villagers of Qing Ya have been trapped by Liu Li (Zhang Chu Xuan), a powerful sorceress who commands stone demons in a cloud realm. Disguising himself as a servant, Sun Wu Kong infiltrates the subterranean chamber where villagers are forced to labor and opens a portal to the mortal world. As some villagers escape, the evil forces dispatch Yang Jian (Benny Chan) to hunt down the Monkey King, creating a critical confrontation that will determine the fate of the enslaved people. The narrative explores whether Yang Jian will align with the sorceress Liu Li or support the Monkey King's mission to defeat the oppressive cloud-dwelling gods. Based on characters from the classic 16th-century Chinese novel "Journey to the West," this is a 2021 Chinese fantasy film directed by Le Luo.
