Phuong Anh Dao, born Dao Phuong Anh Dao, is an award-winning Vietnamese actress. She was born on April 30, 1992, in Ganh Hao , Bac Lieu , Vietnam, and made her acting debut in 2014. Since then, she has appeared in a variety of films and television dramas, including “Saigon In The Rain” (2020).

With big dreams driving him, Vu (Avin Lu) moves to Saigon with hopes of turning his love of music into an actual career. A talented musician, Vu’s path soon crosses with Trang’s (Truc Anh), the leader of a band looking to add a new member. Happy to join a band with dreams as big as his own, Vu grateful for whatever gigs the band can land. Playing anything from weddings to weekend markets, the band jumps at any chance to hone their skill.

Van Nhi (Ngoc Duyen) is a young student who is short on money, so decides to work as a nanny to raise funds. She thinks she has fallen on her feet when she is hired by a rich single mother named Thanh (Phuong Anh Dao) who asks Van Nhi to move into her mansion-like house in the middle of a quiet and remote evergreen forest to take care of her young daughter Kitty. Thanh is frequently away on business trips and cannot spend much time at home.

Nhat Ha (Phuong Anh Dao) is a young woman from Da Lat, Vietnam, who is on a quest to find her father (Cong Ninh). The latter vanished from her family some 10 years ago, leaving her and her mother to live on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. A keen photographer, he would often send his family photos of the things he saw on the island. But all of a sudden, the photos stopped coming. With no way to contact her father, Nhat Ha decides to travel to Hokkaido to find him.

But this quest is by no means an easy one: She speaks no Japanese, and navigating her way around the island could prove problematic. Fortunately, perhaps, she meets Akira (Takafumi Akutsu), a young, Japanese man with a love for 35mm film photography. Nhat Ha is also a keen photographer who also prefers analog cameras. Despite the fact that neither of the duo speaks a word of each other’s language, an unconventional friendship sparks between them. This could soon turn to romance, they begin to feel – but could untold secrets and forbidding language barriers impede Cupid’s progress?
