Kim Da Mi is a South Korean actress who was born on April 9, 1995, in Seoul, South Korea. She made her debut in the movie “2017 Project with the Same Name” in 2017 and followed up with a lead role in the thriller film “The Witch: Subversion” (2018). She has also appeared in hit drama titles including “Itaewon Class” in 2020 and 2021’s “Our Beloved Summer.”

At a macabre secret hospital, twisted scientists perform bizarre experiments on children, led by the single-minded Doctor Baek (Jo Min Soo) and her sidekick Choi (Park Hee Soon). When something goes wrong, the scientists try to shut down the operation in the cruelest possible manner. But one young girl escapes their clutches, making her way to a farmhouse, where she collapses. When she comes to, she meets a couple who decide to take her in and treat her as if she were their own daughter.

A decade later, the girl, named Ja Yoon (Kim Da Mi), has grown into a young woman...with remarkable telekinetic powers. She remembers nothing of her past before coming to the farmhouse. However, her adoptive parents have run into financial and health-related difficulties, and she realizes that money could help dig them out of this quagmire. So she decides to enter a reality TV contest in Seoul, hoping to scoop the prize money by using her telekinetic powers to wow the jury. But on her travels she meets a mysterious man (Choi Woo Shik) who claims to know her. As she begins her adventures, shadowy figures from the past re-emerge...bent on bringing her back under their control!

“The Witch: Subversion” is a 2018 South Korean film that was written and directed by Park Hoon Jung.
