Huu Chau is a Vietnamese actor who was born on January 22, 1966, in Saigon, Vietnam. He graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema in 1985 and initially cut his teeth as a comedy and stage actor. He has also appeared in a range of hit movie titles, including “Ngay Xua Ngay Xua” (2000), “Tam Cam: The Untold Story” (2016), and 2020’s “Accidentally Dad.”

Hang Duong (Huong Giang) is a movie and drama series stuntman who has always dreamed of becoming a woman – although he is somewhat nervous about having the required surgery. The question of transitioning has been moot for him, as the surgery is prohibitively expensive. But when he one day is witness to a bloody gangland murder, he finds himself on the run from dangerous mobsters. 

As the gangsters close in, he realizes that if she changes gender, he may avoid detection. So he plucks up the courage and has the operation. Now a beautiful woman, she is happy, but trouble strikes again as her father is taken ill. Tung Son (Kieu Minh Tuan) is a successful – and happily single – doctor. But his carefree lifestyle could be cut short when Que Phuong (Kha Nhu), an incorrigible gambler who is up to her eyes in debt decides to scam him. She instructs her seven-year-old daughter to throw herself down in front of his car when on a quiet backstreet road, making him think he has hit the child with his car. Then she tells him that the child is his – and is the result of a one-night stand she had with him almost a decade ago. Her goal in all this is purely financial: She hopes that he will stump up money in order to feed her gambling habits and help her pay off loan sharks. But when Tung Son gets to know the child, they hit it off, from a tight bond...and she even starts to call him “dad.” The ruse appears to be up when a DNA test confirms he is not the father, however.

Together since high school, Thoai (Tran Thanh) and Linh (Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc) have literally grown up together. While they might have made a cute couple during their high school days, things between them have gotten nothing short of complicated over the years.
