Meng Zi Di is a Chinese actor who was born on July 10, 1992. He studied at the Beijing Film Academy and made his acting debut in the 2016 drama series “My Amazing Boyfriend.” He made his movie debut in the film “Spirit Pact” (2018). More recently, he has also starred in the drama series titles “My Amazing Boyfriend” (2019) and 2020’s “The Silent Criminal.”

Growing up, Zhang Xiaofan (Xiao Zhan) was a kind-hearted, innocent boy who knew nothing of the cruelties that lay beyond the borders of his own peaceful village. But all that changed the day the Ghost King descended upon his hometown, bringing with him a wave of death and destruction so powerful, few survived. Now an orphan, Xiaofan is taken in by the Qingyun Sect. Raised by Tian Buyi (Qiu Xin Zhi), the head of the sect, and his wife, Su Ru, Xiaofan sets out on a journey of cultivation, helped along the way by the sect leader’s daughter Tian Ling Er (Tang Yi Xin), on whom he harbors a secret crush.&nbsp;

Over the years, Xiaofan learns and grows, with the help of three different masters, eventually becoming a master of not only martial arts, but of the mythical realm as well. During this time he meets Lu Xueqi (Li Qin), the chief pupil of the Daoist master Shuiyue (Ye Tong), a meeting which Xiaofan won’t soon forget. But Fate has destined more than this one meeting for Xiaofan.&nbsp;

When Xiaofan accidentally awakens the Blood-Devouring Pearl, which transforms into the all-powerful weapon, the Fire Stick, he draws the attention of both the Ghost King and a mysterious young woman, Biyao (Meng Mei Qi). With both pursuing him, Xiaofan must choose to fight or flee. His decision sets in motion a series of events that will bring long-held secrets to light and an all-consuming darkness into his heart. A darkness that can only be satisfied by one thing: revenge.

Based on the novel, "Zhu Xian", by Xiao Ding, “Jade Dynasty” is a 2019 fantasy action film directed by Ching Siu Tung.
