Park Hye Soo is a South Korean singer and actress. She was born on November 24, 1994 in Seoul, South Korea, and made her debut in the entertainment world in 2014 when she participated in the survival reality show, “K-pop Star 4” (2014). She made her acting debut in 2015, when she took her first role in a television drama. Since then, she has appeared in various films and television dramas, including “Swing Kids” (2018).

A year into the Korean War, South Korea’s Geoje Island has become home to an American-run prison camp, housing everyone from tap dancing officers to rebellious North Korean soldiers. When the commanding officer of the camp orders Sergeant Jackson (Jared Grimes) to form a dance troupe and prepare a Christmas production meant to wow the international media and improve the U.S. Army’s public image, the one-time dancer doesn’t even know where to start. Setting up a camp-wide audition, Jackson begins screening talent, but the task isn’t easy.

Finding a handful of rare gems in an otherwise bleak world, Jackson recruits a motley assortment of prisoners, including Xiao Pang (Kim Min Ho), a shy Chinese soldier whose timid demeanor hides some slick moves; Kang Byung Sam (Oh Jung Se), a South Korean prisoner falsely accused of being a Communist sympathizer, who hopes the exposure of the troupe will help him find his missing wife; Yang Pan Rae (Park Hye Soo), a civilian who uses her dancing skills to make money for her family; and Ro Ki Soo (D.O.), a North Korean soldier with a hidden penchant for dancing. As unlikely as it sounds, this rag-tag team comes together to make something truly beautiful; but war is an ugly thing and its oppressive weight is ever-present.

Loyalties will be tested and hearts will rend as this close-knit group of dancers tries to overcome the never-ending string of obstacles that come with living as prisoners of war.

Based on the musical “Roh Ki Soo”, “Swing Kids” is a 2018 musical drama film directed by Kang Hyeong Cheol.

Can a secret diary shed light on the authenticity of a centuries-old painting? 

Seo Ji Yoon (Lee Young Ae) is an art history lecturer who has devoted the best years of her life to earning her Ph.D. and working under her mentor, department chairman Min Jung Hak (Choi Jong Hwan), in the hopes of being named a full-time professor at her university. 

When Jung Hak entrusts Ji Yoon to write the thesis for his find-of-the-century historical painting, “An Gyeon’s Mount Geumgang,” Ji Yoon is ecstatic and finally feels like she is about to earn her professorship. But in a matter of days, her whole world comes crashing down around her. 

First, her husband, Jung Min Seok (Lee Hae Young), suddenly becomes a fugitive when his company comes under investigation and the Russian Mafia comes after him for dirty money, forcing Ji Yoon, her son, and her mother-in-law, Kim Jung Hee (Kim Hae Sook), to be kicked out of their home. Then, Ji Yoon’s career comes to a crashing halt when grad student Han Sang Hyun (Yang Se Jong) publicly challenges the authenticity of the Mount Geumgang painting and Ji Yoon does not adequately defend Jung Hak’s reputation. 

An enraged Jung Hak has Ji Yoon fired and ostracized from the art history community. At the bottom of her life, Ji Yoon discovers the secret diary of Shin Saimdang (1504-1551), a Korean artist, writer, calligraphist and poet who was the mother of Yi I, one of the two most prominent Korean Confucian scholars during the Joseon Dynasty. The diary sheds new light on the life of Saimdang (also played by Lee Young Ae, her relationship with painter Lee Gyeom (Song Seung Heon), and the Mount Geumgang painting. 

With the help of Sang Hyun and her best friend, Go Hye Jung (Park Jun Myun), an antiquities researcher, can Ji Yoon get her life and career back?
