JR, born Kim Jong Hyun, is an award-winning South Korean singer, rapper, and actor. He was born on June 8, 1995, in Gangneung, Gangwon, South Korea, and made his debut in the entertainment industry in 2012, as the main rapper, dancer, and leader of the idol group, NU’EST. In 2015, he made his debut as an actor, taking his first role in a television drama and in 2016, he took his first role in a film. In 2017, he participated in the survival reality program, “Produce 101 Season 2” in which he ranked fourteenth. Since his debut, he has appeared in a number of television reality programs, films, and television dramas, including “Love Catcher” (2018) and “Let Me Be Your Knight” (2021).

Chae Rin returns to Jeju Island, her hometown, to take a break from the city and hyperacusis. While she helps her grandmother run a pension, Ncode, the group of idol trainees, comes to the pension to do camp training. As Seung Yeon, the leader of Ncode, has quite an attitude, Chae Rin doesn't like him so much, but soon they get closer. Chae Rin coincidently runs into Kang Hae Sung, the top idol star, and she even gets to experience the life of a successful fan as Hae Sung stays in her pension. Hae Sung is a narcissist but is slowly drawn to Chae Rin and her innocent way of treating him. However, Chae Rin's childhood friend, Hyun Jun, is by her side. The three guys' hearts start to flutter toward Chae Rin while they get involved with the strange Sound Candy. What role will Sound Candy play among the youth gathered in Jeju, and who will ultimately win Chae Rin's love?

Leader and producer of the globally popular idol band, Luna, Yoon Tae In (Lee Jun Young) is considered by many to be the world’s greatest idol. A true musical genius, Tae In’s music has gained him an unprecedented global following, but his worldwide fame comes at a price. With the failure of the band’s most recent album, Tae In has begun to show signs of somnambulism, or sleepwalking. With stress mounting, Tae In’s sleepwalking problem is only getting worse, leaving him to wonder how he’s ever going to get this new problem under control.&nbsp;

Working as a tour guide, In Yoon Joo (Jung In Sun) really only has one goal in life: to someday own the house of her dreams. Though her current job isn’t doing much to help her achieve that dream, she finds herself in an unexpectedly promising position, after a chance encounter with the world’s most popular idol, entangles both of their fates. Taking advantage of the situation, Yoon Joo somehow manages to scam her way into Luna’s residence; where she is quickly asked to cure Tae In’s condition. Though not at all qualified as a doctor, Yoon Joo agrees to pose as Tae In’s “doctor”; but living with a man who believes he’s the center of the universe isn’t easy.

Despite their rocky start, Yoon Joo does her best to help Tae In; but no matter how hard she tries, nothing she does seems to be good enough. Will she be able to help this self-centered idol overcome his own obstacles or will she end up becoming the biggest obstacle of all?

A light-hearted romance, “Let Me Be Your Knight” is a 2021 romantic comedy directed by Ahn Ji Sook.

Some people are out to find true love. Others are just in it for the money!

In a fun new reality survival series, 10 strangers live together for eight days under the same roof. Some of them are “love catchers,” who are looking for true love. But some are “money catchers,” who have entered the competition to win the prize money of 50 million won (approximately $44,600). In order to win the money, money catchers have to try to identify a love catcher to partner up with. If they end up choosing another money catcher, they are eliminated from the game. Love catchers have avoid falling for a money catcher in their quest for true love. 

TV personality Shin Dong Yup serves as the main host of the show, and he is joined by comedian Jang Do Yeon, mystery author Jeon Gun Woo, love expert Hong Suk Chun, singer Lady Jane, and NU’EST’s JR as commentators.

Leon (Ren) is a young shoe repair worker whose life is wracked with guilt. Two years ago, his actions led to a man being hit by a car – and ending up paralyzed from the waist down. Leon blames himself entirely for what happened, and has wallowed in misery ever since. He follows the same routine every day, working at the shop along with Kokaze (Fumiko Aoyagi) – and seemingly utterly unaware that she has a crush on him. He spends his lunchtimes eating alone in a public park – on the same bench.

But one day, his lunchtime routine is shaken when he finds a young woman named Suna (Hanae Kan) on the bench, asleep and recovering from a heavy drinking session. As she wakes and stumbles away, she breaks the heel off her shoe. But fate reunites them when she comes to Leon’s shop to fix the shoe. This seemingly innocuous encounter sparks a chain of consequences, however – but could it lead the sadness-filled Leon to happiness...or love?

“Their Distance” is a 2016 Japanese movie that was directed by Imaizumi Rikiya.
