When life throws you a curveball, can you recover in time to save a relationship?

He Luo (Bu Guan Jin) lives in her own little world. She loves to spend time fantasizing and imagining how she can incorporate the people around her into her webcomic plots. 

Over the summer, He Luo goes to a tennis competition and sees Zhang Yuan (Bai Yu), the leader of the tennis team. The studious Zhang Yuan is the polar opposite of He Luo. As the two develop a growing bond, Zhang Yuan agrees to tutor He Luo so that they can try to get into the same university.

But as fate would have it, Zhang Yuan is the one who ends up failing his college entrance exams, and he and He Luo are placed at two different universities in different cities. Can their relationship survive the distance and the many misunderstandings that result?
