Lee Sung Wook is a South Korean actor who was born on October 3, 1979. He first made a name for himself in the world of theater, and made his first high-profile appearance in a 2011 performance of the stage play “Rock City.” He made his movie debut in the short film “The First Grade” in 2013, following up with his feature film debut in 2014’s “Tazza: The Hidden Card,” and his drama series debut in the 2016 drama “Beautiful Mind.”

Just under a decade ago, South Korea was shaken to the core by a financial fraud project. Thousands of unsuspecting victims were tricked into investing their life savings. After the project was exposed as a scam, its mastermind Noh Sang Chun (Heo Sung Tae) ran away to China in a bid to escape the police. But he was soon after reported to have died in mysterious circumstances. The trail went cold. But some eight years after he was reported dead, the evidence appears to suggest that the notorious fraudster is still alive! A spate of killings begins, with Noh Sang Chun apparently linked to the deaths.

Trying to piece together the truth is the police officer and former lawyer Goo Do Han (Jang Geun Suk). Also on a quest for truth is a reporter named Cheon Na Yeon (Lee Elijah). She believes that a number of the murders have been covered – and that police investigations into the death may have been botched. The stakes begin to rise as games become deadly. What is really happening? And what role does Noh Sang Chun play in these fatal events?

A man (Yoon Kye Sang) regains consciousness after being involved in a traffic accident. He has no idea who he is or how he came to be in the accident, but finds he has a gunshot wound and is dressed in a designer suit. The moment he sees his reflection, he is convinced he is trapped inside another person’s body. He also begins to suspect that whoever he is now, this body belongs to someone linked to the underworld. But he has very little time to dwell on the matter – after 12 hours, at midday, he wakes up in another person’s body. This happens again, at midnight.

Eventually, he realizes that he will “switch” bodies again after 12 more hours have passed. And each time he changes, he gets the feeling that someone is pursuing him no matter who he becomes. He also starts to realize that a woman named Moon (Lim Jin Yeon) may hold the key to his true identity. But as the pressure begins to mount, he begins to worry that the violent world of gangland crime may eventually swallow him – and Moon – whole.

The year is 1940, and the Korean Peninsula is still under the colonial rule of Imperial Japan.

The Imperial Japanese are on the verge of what will soon be their undoing – their involvement in World War II. But even as the nation prepares for war, the colonial government is doing its utmost in its colony to stamp out the Korean language. Its goal is to promote the Japanese language and culture at all costs.

Against this backdrop, a group of people forms an unlikely alliance. Their aim is to produce a Korean language dictionary – an act of defiance and patriotism that could well see them land in very hot water with the colonial government.

This group is led by an erudite young scholar named Ryu Jeong Hwan (Yoon Kye Sang) and Kim Pan Su (Yoo Hae Jin), an illiterate, middle-aged petty thief.

Together with the rest of the group, the duo attempts to do the unthinkable – complete and publish a vital reference book that could help restore national pride in a language that has been placed under existential threat.
