Choi Min Chul is a South Korean actor who was born on November 9, 1976, in Gwangju, South Korea. He studied music at Chung-Ang University, and made his acting debut in the 2004 movie “Low Life.” He has since gone on to appear in a number of hit movie releases, including “The Throne” (2015) and the more recent “The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil” (2019).

Jung Tae Suk (Kim Mu Yeol) is a police officer who is dispatched to the scene of a bloody murder: After two cars collide, one of the motorists brutally kills the other.

This same killer attempts to strike again when his car hits a vehicle being driven by mob boss Jang Dong Soo (Ma Dong Seok). But the gangster manages to fight back against his attacker, although the fight leaves him badly injured.

Jang Dong Soo assumes the incident was part of a plot to kill him, hatched by a rival gang. He orders his henchmen to mobilize.

But Jung Tae Suk comes up with a surprising and unconventional plan. He shows Jang Dong Soo that a devious serial killer is the real perpetrator – and asks Jang Dong Soo to help him bring the villain to justice.

With dreams of becoming the perfect ruler of Joseon, King Yeongjo (Song Kang Ho) aspires to greatness as he ascends the throne. Hoping his acts as king will wipe his tarnished background from the minds of the people, King Yongjo does all he can to lead his country well. But the rumors of his lower class mother follow him wherever he goes, as does the whispers of his brother’s murder, and his desperate grapple for the throne. Realizing the implications of fathering a traitor could threaten his position, King Yeongjo orders his son to take his own life. Unwilling to follow his father’s orders, the King orders his son to be locked in a wooden rice chest and left in the palace courtyard to die a slow and agonizing death.&nbsp;

Inspired by one of the most notorious events in Korean history, “The Throne” is a 2015 historical drama film directed by Lee Joon Ik.

Suffocating under the military dictatorship that led South Korea in the 1970's, many of the younger generation pushed back against the oppression, sparking a revolutionary upheaval of pop culture that breathed new life into their stifling world. Two such revolutionaries were Sang Kyu (Cho Seung Woo), a talented vocalist, and his buddy, Man Shik (Cha Seung Woo), a guitarist who, like his friend, had spent too many days wandering the shabby clubs of the U.S. military base near their homes.

Tired of living the same weary life, day in and day out, Sang Kyu and Man Shik decide to form a rock band. Recruiting four other members, the group dub themselves the “Devils” and agree to enter an upcoming rock band contest. With their amusing, albeit shocking performance, the Devils sweep the contest and land themselves a regular gig, playing at a club called “Nirvana”.&nbsp;

Becoming overnight stars, the group revels in their success but their joy is short-lived. Facing oppression on every side, the Devils must overcome a tidal wave of obstacles, some of which could very well destroy them all. Choosing to fight against despair, rather than succumb to it, Sang Kyu plans one last emotion-filled concert for the Devils. Could this final act of defiance be what sparks the fires of a nation-wide revolution?
