Ranbir Kapoor, born in Mumbai into the prominent Kapoor family, burst onto the scene in 2007 with the film Saawariya. For his role in Saawariya, Ranbir won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut as well as the IIFA Award for Best Male Debut. From there he went on to win the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor in 2009 for his roles in Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. The following year he was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his role in Raajneeti In 2011, Ranbir won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor, as well as the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor, for his critically acclaimed role in Rockstar. Considered to have a promising future, Ranbir has several movies in the works, and we look forward to seeing much more from him. Ranbir was a part of two short films before he made his debut on big screen. He worked as assistant director on the sets of Prem Granth, Aa Ab Laut Chalen and Black.
