Anju Mahendru is an Indian actress born in Dehradun. Started modelling at the age of 13 and was discovered by poet and lyricist Kaifi Azmi, which subsequently led to her first debut film, Uski Kahani with Basu Bhattacharya in 1966. Famed for her relationship with famous Bollywood star Rajesh Khanna, she was also briefly engaged to cricket player Gary Sobers. Known for TV shows such as Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah.
